Kleva is a healthcare start-up on the brink of launching at-home COVID tests for consumers.
While working with the Kleva team, my main focus was on UX/UI to help them prep their product for launch. My primary responsibility was working with the co-founder to revise the order confirmation process, including user testing, research, and design. I also provided designs and updates for several smaller product needs and stayed on after the project to create the foundation for the Kleva Brand Guidelines and Design System.
The order flow originally revolved around 2 SKUs: Pay in full and Buy now, test later.
User testing supported my suggestion to shift to 1 SKU to simplify the user experience and clear up any confusion.
I also refined and simplified the order confirmation process and confirmation page after gaining insights from multiple rounds of user testing. Email notifications were also created.
Due to the complex nature of Kleva’s COVID test registration and process, it was especially important to clearly call out the next steps to users. I revised each confirmation touchpoint and all user flows with clear and concise progress bars.
In addition to several product design updates, I also built out Kleva’s foundational brand guidelines and design system and helped walk the co-founder through branding elements.
As all brand guidelines and design systems are, Kleva’s are a work-in-progress, and I’m continuing to build out especially as new elements arise.
MY ROLE
During my time at Kleva, I served as a UX/UI designer, lead on user testing and user research, product strategist, and brand consultant. I worked directly with the co-founder and another designer working on a specific piece of the product.
